Vaporstop foil and tape consist of a three layer lamination of 12μ polyester film / 25μ aluminium foil / 12μ polyester film backed with a solvent-based acrylic adhesive. They combine the excellent vapour barrier properties of aluminium with the outstanding mechanical and thermal characteristics of polyester film, giving an ideal, flexible and efficient barrier material, suitable for outdoor use. Vaporstop foils and tapes are primarily used in cold cryogenic insulation systems, but are suitable for a wide range of applications. Vaporstop foils and tapes are commonly referred to as Mylar.
